The 8th Nishan Village (Community) Confucianism Volunteer Lecturer Training Course, organized by the International Confucian Association (ICA) and the Nishan Holy Land Academy, was held at Nishan Shengyuan College in Ji’ning, Shandong province, the birthplace of Confucius, from November 4 to 10.
Over 120 volunteers from eight provinces and municipalities, including Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Beijing, Fujian, Hubei, Shaanxi, and Zhejiang, participated in the event.

Shi Yongqi, deputy secretary-general and director of the Education and Promotion Committee of the ICA, Liang Jiwu, director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Sishui County, and Zhao Fasheng, deputy director of the Education and Promotion Committee of the ICA and executive vice president of Nishan Shengyuan College, attended and spoke at the opening ceremony.
Chen Hongfu, Shengyuan College’s president assistant, presided over the ceremony.
Closing ceremony of the event
Following the ceremony, Professor Wang Xinhong, vice director of the Liaison Committee for Advisors of the ICA, delivered a lecture titled "Cultural Confidence and Chinese Virtues”.

The training program offered a variety of courses including classic readings, etiquette, filial piety, gratitude, and volunteerism. Volunteer lecturers gathered at the foot of Nishan Mountain to learn, practice rituals, sing, work, read, and exchange ideas.
Volunteers shared their experiences and practices and visited the Confucius Cave and the sacred grounds of Nishan Mountain and gave splendid performances.
